Indy Air Show Trip

On June 5, 2009, mamaw, mama, and me went to the Indy Air Show. It was amazing, we were able to see everything in the sky so clearly. The Blue Angels gave us a spectacular show and "Fat Albert" was quite entertaining as well. It was good to finally get to see planes - not just any planes, the Blue Angels, "Fat Albert", Thunderbirds, and a additional plane that I do not know it's name - in action. And not only being able to see these aircrafts fly, but watching them take off into the sky was interesting to me. The Thunderbirds, at first, were staged on the pavement for everyone to see, but since it was a practice day, they had to take off. Which is what I meant by watching aircrafts take off.

Unfortunately, the next day wasn't so good for watching the show. The clouds filled the sky but the planes still flew low enough for everyone to see. We did not go that day, we had to go to my cousin's 1st birthday party. But Rick (mamaw's husband) went that day. On the 6th, anyone wanting to get in had to pay $20. Fortunately for us, since it was practice day, we only had to pay $5 a person and still received a fantastic show!

But we got to see the air show for ourselves because the birthday party wasn't too far away for us to see the amazing vintage aircrafts. We also got to see the Blue Angels one last time. I wish I had my camera ready when they flew right over us! The day we went ourselves will be a day I shall never forget. I have posted videos mama and me took while we all were there. Be sure to check them out, too!
